Questions and answers

VR makes me feel sick. Is this for me?

Don't worry! All our VR experiences and VR escape rooms are picked and built so that motion sickness won't happen. Motion sickness is usually caused by poor VR systems (hardware and software), and we put a lot of weight on quality, your health and your safety! Even if you feel sick or unwell here for some other reason, you can use our fun guarantee and stop within the first 10 minutes without paying.

I'm not a "gamer", are these experiences still for me?

Yes, 100%! VR isn't just for “messing about”, and these aren't classic computer games. VR escape rooms are intuitive experiences with something in them for everyone aged 10 and over! If you can talk, hear, walk and grab things, you've got everything you need to beat the rooms. The VR escape rooms are free of violence and focus on people working together.

Is this a team game? Can we actually see each other in the VR escape rooms?

Yes, you can see and hear each other, and you couldn't manage it on your own anyway! You have to work together, and each of you also has to master your own tasks. The key is talking to each other, listening and cooperating. At the end you can even high five each other. 😉

I'm afraid of heights, are these experiences for me?

You'll always feel the floor under your feet and you're 100% safe, but your head might have you thinking otherwise. The VR escape rooms, above all the Pyramid Room, are a challenge for people who are afraid of heights. But it's all the more worth it once you get past the fear! If your fear of heights is strong, we'd rather recommend our classic rooms.

Are the VR escape rooms any good?

The VR escape rooms by Ubisoft and ArviVR count among the best in the world. Top quality matters a lot to us at Escape Leipzig, so we choose every one of our experiences very carefully and we're glad about our partnership with Ubisoft and ArviVR!

How many of us can play together?

There are 4 VR stations available.

The VR escape rooms by Ubisoft can only be played with an even number of players. That means you play in a team of 2 or a team of 4. If someone in a team of 4 drops out at short notice and you can't find a replacement, your game master can step in as the fourth player, or you can switch to a different room.

The VR escape rooms by ArviVR allow 2 to 4 players in the same game, so they're ideal for an odd number.

The VR adventure worlds allow games for 2 to 4 players, either working together or playing against each other.

Are there any restrictions?

Ubisoft's VR escape rooms (Pyramid Room and Medusa Room) aren't suitable for anyone shorter than 150 cm. You should also be able to walk, grab, speak and hear.
We also don't recommend the VR escape rooms for kids under 10. For groups made up only of kids aged 10-14 we recommend our VR offers for younger guests: Christmas Room, VR adventure worlds and Jungle Quest.

I wear glasses, does that work with the VR headset?

The comfortable and fairly light VR headsets we use are generally fine for people who wear glasses. If your own glasses are unusually large, we'd still recommend contact lenses for your own comfort.

Is there anything special I need to know about the headset?

We'd suggest comfortable shoes, loose clothing and no up-dos or headwear of any kind. Contact lenses rather than glasses are a good idea too, especially with large frames.
