1. Classic, escape room for small teams

The standard format for departments, project teams or management rounds of up to 8 people. One room, 60 minutes of playing time, then a group success photo and a short debrief. Total duration around 80 minutes.

2. Combo Mode (our combo mode), large-group company outing for 8 to 38 people

When the whole department comes along: 2 to 6 rooms in parallel, all starting at the same time. Every sub-team starts together, each team plays its own adventure, and at the end you compare playing times and stories. A flat 33 € per person, whatever the exact group size. With our six-room Combo, teams of up to 38 people can play in a single run, and few providers in Germany manage that.

3. Multi-activity day, escape room as the highlight of your day out

A whole day in Leipzig for your company: the escape room as the highlight in the morning or the afternoon, combined with lunch together in one of the many restaurants in the city centre (2-5 minutes on foot), and optionally a short walk around Leipzig (Auerbachs Keller, Mädler Passage, Thomaskirche, Marktplatz). We’ll coordinate the times so that everything fits together.

Unlike a classic day trip to a theme park or a day in a high ropes course, the escape room fits every company set-up:

• Across generations: The 22-year-old working student and the 58-year-old head of department have the same chances, because the puzzles aren’t solved by age or fitness but by attention and communication.

How it works, from the booking to the meal together

1. Send your enquiry. Up to 8 people or without special requests, book directly online through the list of available times. For whole departments of 8 people or more, or for a multi-activity day, write to us at info@escapeleipzig.de or call 0341 21 82 9494, and we’ll be happy to answer and send you a written confirmation with your company billing address.

2. Choose a time and your rooms. Five classic rooms to choose from: Detektivraum with Dr. Seltsam (detective adventure, easy to medium), Leipziger Dungeon (medieval, atmospheric), Operation Pussycat (science lab, easy to medium), Harry's School of Magic (magic and wizardry) and the Bitcoin Verschwörung (expert room, every player individually from age 14). Plus ten VR escape rooms for tech-minded teams. For mixed age groups we recommend the first three.

3. On the day. Be on time at Burgstraße 2 at the Thomaskirchhof. We welcome your team, a quick hello, a briefing on the room (15 min), then 60 minutes of playing time. We look after the team by audio and video and give hints when you need them.

4. After the game. A success photo and a short debrief with your game master. In the city centre there are plenty of restaurants 2-5 minutes on foot away, from the traditional Auerbachs Keller to a modern café. With our Escape & Eat offer you’ll get a free soft drink with every main course at our partner restaurants.

5. Optional: make a day of it. Leipzig has everything within walking distance: Marktplatz, Mädler Passage, Naschmarkt, Thomaskirche (Bach’s church), the university campus. On request we’ll give you recommendations for a 2-3 hour walk around the city or put you in touch with a guide.

Frequently asked questions about company outings

How long does a company outing at Escape Leipzig take?

The escape room part itself takes about 80 minutes (15 min briefing + 60 min playing time + debrief and photo). If you’re planning the escape room as the highlight of a full-day company outing, you’ll usually combine it with lunch or dinner together (2-5 minutes on foot to plenty of restaurants in the city centre) and optionally a short walk around Leipzig. All in all, plan around 4-6 hours for that.

What does a company outing cost for businesses?

In the Combo Mode (from 8 people) a flat 33 € per person. Smaller teams in a single room: 106 € (2 people) to 264 € (8 people) in total. We can invoice your company address, and you can pay on site or by bank transfer afterwards. Catering or restaurant recommendations come on top.

How many people can play at the same time?

In a single room 2 to 8 people, depending on the room. With our Combo Mode, 8 to 38 people play in parallel at the same start time (2-room Combo 8-14 people, 3-room Combo 15-20 people, 4-room Combo 20-26 people, 5-room Combo 26-32 people, 6-room Combo 32-38 people). That makes Escape Leipzig the largest escape room centre in the region, and few providers in Germany manage 38 people in one run.

Does this work for teams with mixed age groups too?

Yes, the escape room is one of the few activities that work across generations. From the 18-year-old apprentice to the 60-year-old managing director, everyone can join in, with no physical requirements. Our recommendation for mixed teams: an easier room (Detektivraum or Mittelalterraum) is more comfortable than the tough expert room Bitcoin Verschwörung (every player individually from age 14).

Can we organise catering or food?

We’re right at the Thomaskirchhof, so you’ve got plenty of restaurants 2-5 minutes on foot away. With our Escape & Eat offer you’ll get a free soft drink with every main course at our partner restaurants. For special, exclusive occasions we’ll organise small snacks at special rates on request. Otherwise we’re happy to recommend restaurants that cater for larger company groups, for example Auerbachs Keller with its Goethe and Faust connection.

How much notice do we need for a booking?

Up to 8 people or without special requests, book directly online; standard bookings for 2-6 people often work at short notice. For large teams of 8 people or more, or multi-activity days, we recommend 1-2 weeks’ notice. For particularly large groups (5-room or 6-room Combo with 26-38 people) more like 2-4 weeks’ notice, because those slots book up quickly. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your booking.

How do we best book as a company?

Up to when can we cancel free of charge?

Up to 48 hours before your booking it’s free. After that it’s 75 € per reserved room. For large-group bookings of 8 people or more we can agree more flexible cancellation terms if you book well in advance, just drop us a line at info@escapeleipzig.de.
