We offer three clearly different formats, depending on whether your team is after fun team building with a few aha moments, needs a structured diagnostic tool for people development or a large-group solution for whole departments, all for 2 to 38 people per booking.

Three formats for different team goals
1. Classic team building, the escape room as a group experience
The standard format for teams who want a special day together. You book one of our five classic rooms or one of our ten VR escape rooms, we brief you in 15 minutes, then you’ve got 60 minutes of playing time. After that a success photo, a short debrief with your game master, done. Total time about 80 minutes.
Suitable for: small teams, project groups, onboarding

2. Performance Lab, team building with AI-supported analysis
The premium format for teams who don’t just want to have fun but also take concrete insights away from the event. While you’re playing in the room, we watch eight behavioural dimensions in a structured way (communication, leadership, reaction to stress, creative problem solving and others). Afterwards you’ll get an AI analysis report with concrete observations, as a basis for appraisal conversations, people development or follow-up workshops. 100 % GDPR compliant.

3. Combo Mode, large groups of 8 to 38 people
If your team is too big for a single room: 2 to 6 of our rooms in parallel at the same start time. All teams start at once, every sub-team plays its own adventure, and afterwards you compare times and experiences. A flat 33 € per person, whatever the exact group size. With our six-room Combo, teams of up to 38 people are possible in one run, and few providers in Germany manage that.

What your team takes away from the escape room
The escape room isn’t a high ropes course and it isn’t a climbing park, it’s a controlled mini crisis. 60 minutes under time pressure, with complex puzzles, without a clear hierarchy. That’s exactly what makes it an honest team diagnostic tool. In every team we see the same patterns coming back:

How it works, from the enquiry to the reflection impulse
1. Send your enquiry. Up to 8 people or without special requests, book directly online through the list of available times. If you have special requests (catering, Performance Lab, a full-day programme, individual cancellation terms), write to us at info@escapeleipzig.de or call 0341 21 82 9494, and we’ll be happy to answer and send you a written confirmation.
2. Choose a time and a format. You decide on one of our five classic rooms, Detektivraum with Dr. Seltsam, Leipziger Dungeon, Operation Pussycat, Harry's School of Magic or the Bitcoin Verschwörung (expert room, every player individually from age 14), or on one of the ten VR escape rooms. For Performance Lab we’ll advise you on which room to pick.
3. On the day. Be on time at Burgstraße 2 at the Thomaskirchhof. Cloakroom, a quick hello, a briefing on the room (15 min), then 60 minutes of playing time. We watch and look after the team by audio and video and give hints when you need them.
4. After the game. A success photo and a short debrief. With Performance Lab the AI analysis report follows digitally to the person in charge, usually within 48 hours. With Performance Lab Pro you plan a facilitated reflection session with our coach (1-2 hours, here with us or online).
5. Home or onwards. In the centre of Leipzig everything is 2-5 minutes on foot away, Marktplatz, Naschmarkt, Auerbachs Keller, plenty of restaurants and bars. With our Escape & Eat offer you’ll get a free soft drink with every main course at our partner restaurants.

How many people can do team building at Escape Leipzig?
In the classic mode you play in one room with 2 to 8 people (depending on the room). For bigger teams we use the Combo Mode: 2 to 6 rooms at the same time with the same start, which covers groups of 8 to 38 people (2-room Combo 8-14 people, 3-room Combo 15-20 people, 4-room Combo 20-26 people, 5-room Combo 26-32 people, 6-room Combo 32-38 people). That makes Escape Leipzig the largest escape room centre in the region.
What does team building in Leipzig cost with you?
Classic team building starts at 33 € per person in the Combo Mode (from 8 people). Smaller teams in a single room: 106 € (2 people) to 264 € (8 people) in total. Performance Lab (escape room with AI analysis) from 62 € per person: room price plus 29 € analysis per person, analysis at least 99 € per room. Performance Lab Pro with an external coach from 112 € per person: room price plus 79 € per person, at least 299 € per room. We can invoice your company address.
How long does a team building event take?
A classic escape room team building takes about 80 minutes: 15 minutes of briefing and introduction, 60 minutes of playing time, then a photo and a short debrief with your game master. With Performance Lab there’s about 30 minutes of AI analysis reflection on top, and with Performance Lab Pro you plan another 60-90 minutes of facilitated reflection with the coach.
What does our team actually learn?
In the escape room, patterns of communication, leadership and problem solving become visible under time pressure: who takes over the coordination naturally, who finds creative solutions, how does the team deal with uncertainty? The classic format works for fun team building with light insights. Performance Lab gives you a structured analysis report with concrete observations, as a basis for appraisal conversations or follow-up workshops.
Do we need a minimum booking period?
Standard bookings work directly online, and the same day is possible in exceptional cases. For large teams of 8 people or more, or for Performance Lab, we recommend 1-2 weeks’ notice. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your booking, after that it’s 75 € per room.
Can we add catering or food?
We’re right in the centre of Leipzig at the Thomaskirchhof, so you’ve got plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars 2-5 minutes on foot away (Marktplatz, Naschmarkt, Auerbachs Keller). With our Escape & Eat offer you’ll get a free soft drink with every main course at our partner restaurants. For special, exclusive evenings we’ll organise small snacks on request (at special rates); otherwise we’ll give you restaurant recommendations for larger groups.
