Beyond Medusas Gate Escape Room

Beyond Medusa's Gate

Welcome to the Animus!

Travel back to ancient Greece in 445 BC, a time of eloquent philosophers, merciless gods and oracles that promise death. Somewhere on the Peloponnese peninsula an ancient artefact was hidden, and it may well be the legendary ship of the Argonauts. Using the Animus simulation programme and our database of recorded genetic memories, you'll be sent back into the past to find that ship, if it really exists.

In "Beyond Medusa's Gate" (Assassin's Creed Odyssey®), two to four players dive into ancient Greece in virtual reality to explore a mysterious cave built around the legend of the Argonauts. Legend has it that the fabled fast ship Argo lies hidden in a cave on the Aegean coast, waiting to lure in brave adventurers.

Once you've entered those fateful realms, plenty of challenges stand between you and a way out of the dangerous virtual world, and you've got 60 minutes. To solve the puzzles you'll have to work together as a team and prove your teamwork, your communication skills and your precise timing. It's a challenge for everyone's problem-solving skills and creativity.

Important information

*FUN GUARANTEE:

  • If you're not enjoying yourselves within the first 10 minutes, you can stop the session and you won't pay a thing.

Virtual Reality

  • We work with VR experiences that are free of motion sickness.
  • If you're anxious about heights, we'd recommend switching to one of our classic rooms instead.
  • Our comfortable VR headsets also work if you wear glasses. If your own glasses are noticeably large, we'd still recommend contact lenses for your own comfort. We also recommend comfortable shoes, loose clothing and no up-dos or headwear of any kind. Unfortunately we can't take any liability for scratches or damage to your own glasses caused by wearing the VR headset.
  • Ubisoft's VR escape rooms (Pyramid Room and Medusa Room) are only suitable for people over 150 cm with sufficient mobility.
  • If you're new to virtual reality or escape rooms, the Pyramid Room is the better choice.

Children & teenagers

  • Individual children aged 10 and over, for example as part of a family group, are very welcome, as long as an adult comes along. We don't recommend VR for younger children, the headsets are often too big for them.
  • For groups made up only of children between 10 and 14, we'd ask you to book one of our children's offers, "Kids Special" or "VR adventure worlds".
  • Groups of teenagers under 16 need an adult supervisor with them. From 16 upwards, no supervisor or carer is needed any more.

Discounts

  • School classes, social institutions and non-profit clubs get a 5 € discount per person if they show a matching ID when they arrive.

Cancellation

  • Cancelling up to 48 hours before your slot is free of charge. You can cancel via the link in your booking confirmation, by email or through the contact form, but not by phone.
  • If you cancel less than 48 hours before the slot, a cancellation fee of 75 € per room applies.
  • If fewer people turn up than the minimum number of participants of a booking allows, a room has to be cancelled by email. Alternatively you can play the booked rooms with fewer people, but you'll pay for the minimum number of participants of the booking.

Payment

  • Book online and pay at the venue (cash, card or PayPal). Companies with a billing address can also pay by invoice. Paying in advance normally isn't possible, except indirectly through value vouchers, which you can buy online.
  • You can change the number of participants free of charge when you arrive, as long as it stays inside the range you booked. You then only pay for the people who are actually there. If the number falls outside the booked range, you need to tell us by email (see also cancellation).
  • Please be on time. If you're up to 15 minutes late, we don't charge anything. If you're later than that, you can choose: the full playing time for 15 € per room for every 15 minutes of lateness or part of it, or a correspondingly shorter game at no extra charge. If another group is scheduled after you or our team can't stay longer, there's no choice: however late you are, your playing time is then shortened accordingly, at no extra charge. If you're still not here 45 minutes after the start and haven't let us know, it counts as a no-show (75 € per room).

It goes without saying that we expect you sober and free of any mind-altering substances. Taking them means you're out of the game straight away (see our terms and conditions).
