Should the next school trip in Leipzig excite the whole class and be worthwhile in teaching terms at the same time? In the escape room your pupils solve tricky puzzles together, and they pick up teamwork, communication and logical thinking as they play. At Escape Leipzig, right at the Thomaskirchhof in Burgstraße 2 (5-10 min from the main station), with two Kids Specials (Detective Room for up to 10 pupils, Magic Room for 4-8) and the 6-room Combo Mode for whole year-group events with up to 38 pupils.

Three formats, depending on class and age
1. Small group / half class (up to 10 pupils)
A small school group plays our Detective Room Kids Special “The Mysterious Dr. Seltsam”, which is built to be beginner-friendly. Ideal for support groups, differentiation lessons or small private-school classes.

Price: from 28 € per pupil (from 6 pupils, with the 5 € school discount), 1 supervising adult per room free
2. Whole class, ages 10-13 (Kids Specials)
For pupils who fit our Kids Specials (ages 10-13): Detective Room and Magic Room run in parallel in Combo Mode, so the whole class plays at the same time. One supervising adult per room comes along free of charge.
Right for: years 5-7, a day out with younger pupils

3. School trips from age 14 (Combo Mode)
Older classes from age 14 can also play our demanding Crime Room “The Bitcoin Conspiracy”. In Combo Mode several rooms run in parallel, with the 4-room and 6-room combo up to 38 pupils in one run, and bigger year groups we spread over several runs.

Frequently asked questions about school trips
What do the pupils learn in an escape room?
An escape room is playful practice in teamwork, communication, logical thinking and coping with stress under time pressure. Unlike the classroom there are no fixed hierarchies. Who naturally takes the lead? Who comes up with creative solutions? That class dynamic becomes visible and makes for a good reflection session in a lesson or a class council afterwards. Particularly worthwhile in teaching terms for years 5-10.
How big is the school discount?
5 € off per pupil, so 28 € instead of 33 € per person in Combo Mode. One supervising adult per room (class teacher, accompanying teacher) comes along free of charge.
From which year group or age does it make sense?
We recommend it from year 5 (average age 10). Older years (7-10) can play the standard rooms as well. The Bitcoin Conspiracy is a pro-level room, counted per pupil and from age 14, ideal for sixth-form classes. We don't recommend it for primary pupils under 10.
How many pupils fit into one slot?
A school class of 20-26 pupils we solve with Combo Mode: 3-4 rooms in parallel at the same start time. With our 6-room combo even year-group events with up to 38 pupils work in one single run, which is unique in the region.
How do we book as a school?
Drop us a short message at info@escapeleipzig.de with: name of the school, class size, preferred date, year group. We'll check availability, block the rooms and send you a written confirmation with the invoice address for the school. In exceptional cases we can organise a start from 9:00 am, earlier than our standard opening time. We'd suggest 2-4 weeks' lead time.
